Cookies notice
Last updated 7 September 2026. Contact: contact@clubplur.com
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used on Club PLUR, the purposes for which they are used, and how you can control them. It supplements the Privacy Policy and should be read alongside it.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which allow a website to store information in your browser, and pixels, which allow a server to record that a page or message has been loaded. In this notice, 'cookies' refers to all of these technologies.
2. Our lawful basis
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, cookies that are strictly necessary for the provision of a service you have requested may be set without consent. All other cookies require your consent. Club PLUR currently sets only strictly necessary cookies and equivalent browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not permit third parties to use cookies on the Service for their own advertising or profiling purposes.
3. Cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication | Keeps you signed in and links your requests to your account. Set by our authentication provider when you sign in. | Session, and up to 30 days where you stay signed in |
| Security | Detects and prevents fraudulent sign-in attempts, abuse and automated access. | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | Remembers choices you make in the interface, such as filters, the last area you browsed and dismissed notices. | Up to 12 months |
| Draft content | Holds an unfinished Plan or message in your browser so it is not lost if you navigate away. | Until submitted or cleared |
4. Third-party technologies
Certain features rely on third-party services which may set cookies or read device information when the feature is used. These are: our hosting, database and authentication provider; the mapping and place-search provider used on the meeting-point and browse map screens; the identity and age verification provider, where you elect to verify; and the payment provider, where paid membership is taken. Each of these is used to deliver a feature you have requested and none is used for advertising.
5. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and clear local storage in the same place. Guidance is published by each browser vendor and at aboutcookies.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and will stop parts of the Service working. Where you have granted your browser permission to share your location, that permission is separate from cookies and can be withdrawn in your browser or device settings at any time.
6. Changes and contact
If we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary we will ask for your consent before they are set and will update this notice. Questions about this notice should be sent to contact@clubplur.com.
